Rows

A table is made up of rows (or records). A row is a single occurrence of the data contained in a table. Each row is treated as a single unit. In the Customer table shown in Figure 1–1, there are four rows, and each row contains information about an individual customer.

Similarly, each row in the Order table of the retail database represents an order that a customer places. A row in the Assignment table of the departmental database represents a project an employee works on. A row in the Student Schedule table of the college database represents a course a student takes.
